Mandy started out as a typesetter over twenty years ago. She production-managed City Limits Magazine and a design studio and then went to The Independent Newspaper, starting out as a systems manager. Soon she became the colour systems supervisor, then their pc development executive and finally their editorial public relations executive.
After that she went to film school and started directing drama, like The Bill, and various documentaries. She produced a number of short films and wrote screenplays. She also did PR for companies like Raindance.
She has additionally managed systems at both the Guardian and the Economist newspapers.
She is currently working as the ICT Support Manager at Linton Village College, in Cambridgeshire.
